Bird Notes

Happy Monday, I hope your weekend went well.  It has been so cold here, my heart is soooo ready for spring.   Ha!  I guess I am feeling some cabin fever.  I am going to have to deal with it, we have a ways to go still for that to happen.

At Christmas I received the most beautiful hand knit scarf from a very dear friend, Barbara, whom I have known for a long time.  It is a gorgeous burgundy and cream, here is a picture of it.

I wanted to make a unique thank you card for Barbara for the beautiful gift she sent me, so this is what I came up with.
 

  

I used the Bird Notes stamp set from Crafty Secrets.  This is an adorable set with lots of mini stamps that you can use together.  For this card I used a base of beige paper from Core'dinations, then a piece of DP from MME's Blush 6x6 pad.  I used the little bird feet across the bottom edge, the sentiment was stamped then placed onto the tiny sheet of paper stamp, the bird was colored with Distress Inks.  The crown added on top of the bird, some gold Stickles for a little bling.  Then I attached a tea bag, I thought it would be fun to add a little treat she can enjoy.  I added some green ink to all the edges for a little shadowing.
