Merry Christmas

Hope your having a lovely evening.  Tonight I am posting a Christmas card.  I am so happy to say that I have had all of mine done for quite a while now, and so these are just some extras.  Here is a pic.

I used a base of kraft cardstock, I wet embossed the Swirl and Flourish Tree from Hero Arts, and used their Merry Christmas Sentiment from their Celebrate Everyday Stamp Set.  I embossed the images and sentiment with some red glitter embossing powder.  It doesn't show the sparkle here very well, but you can see it in person.  Beautiful.  I finished the card off with some red and green plaid ribbon.

I am so glad you stopped by, God bless you.

I will be entering into the following Challenges: Hero Arts Holiday Challenge, Sister Act.

Hero Arts - Holiday Challenge - I used red glitter embossing powder (Mad About Metallics catagory)
Sister Act - Anything Goes

Watercolored Branch and Flourished Tree

Rain, Rain, Go Away!!  Ha!  Yes, lots of rain here, and feels like late November, makes you think a turkey should be in the oven,  Ha!  Well, today I have a lovely watercolored card.  Just Us Girls is looking for the Ombre Technique and so I knew I wanted to participate in that challenge this week.

My card:

I used a base of pink cardstock, I embossed a panel with the swiss dot folder, and watercolored the tree image with some watercolor in a ombre effect using periwinkle blue.  So lovely.  And watercolored the sentiment too.  Then added a few silver sequins for that sparkle. The Branch and Flourished Tree, and the sentiment are both from Hero Arts.

I hope you have  a wonderful evening.

I will be entering the following challenges and the links are below: Hero Arts Holiday Challenge, Sister Act, Simon Says, Just Us Girls.

Hero Arts - Holiday Challenge/ My card fits the Metalics Group with the sequins I used.
Sister Act - Anything Goes
Simon Says - Use Watercolors/ I watercolored my image panel and sentiment.
Just Us Girls - Trend Challenge - Ombre Technique/ I watercolored the stamped image with a ombre effect.

My sweet boy...

Everyday I thank the Lord for one of the greatest and rare blessings of my life, my son.  I can't even put into words how grateful I am to have him here on this earth with me for a little while (aren't we all just here for a little while!?!, I believe so.).   I have created a layout of him.  Even though he is older, I love this picture of him when he was little.  Each phase of his life has been a pure joy and privilege to be a part of.

I used the beautiful Riddersholm Vintage Venture Design Papers.  I used 2 sheets, Avenant and In Time.  Both gorgeous Design Papers.  You can pick these up at the Flying Unicorn shop.

Here is a close up,

I did add some mixed media to this, some white Gesso, I used the Prima brick stamp, glitter, and so many other things.  I am loving venturing into the Mixed Media world.  I have wanted to do it for along time and right now there are so many new and wonderful products coming out, that it makes it so much fun to add to your projects.

I am so glad you stopped by today, God bless you

Reindeer Gift Tag

Happy Monday.  Hope your having a good one.  Today I have a fun Reindeer Gift Tag I made to use on a Christmas present for my son.

I used a white card stock for the base.   The stamp set is called Christmas Reindeer from Hero Arts.  I stamped the image, and snowflakes, and Merry Christmas sentiment from the same stamp set.  Then colored the reindeer with Chameleon Color Tone Pens, added some Stickles to the snowflakes.  Inked the edges of the tag with some blue ink.  The sentiment was stamped in red ink, and then cut out with a pair of my fancy scissors.  I inked the edges of that with a little blue ink also.

I will be entering in the following Challenges: Hero Arts, Creative Fingers and Through The Craft Room Door.  Thank you for stopping by and God bless you.

Hero Arts - Holiday Challenge - My tag qualifies for the Tag It division.
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Creative Fingers - Anything Goes

Autumn Days

It is a cold rainy evening here, and really feels like fall.  I am hoping for some sunshine this weekend.  I have a card using a very beautiful image for you tonight.  The image is called Autumn Days and can be found on page 63 of the Blue Ridge Impressions Catalog.

I used a base of brown paper, I colored the image with Chameleon Color Tone Pens, love those!!  Then mounted the image onto some orange DP.  The Butterfly is die cut from the Spellbinders Shapabilities, you can find those in the Blue Ridge Catalog on page 98.  I added some gold glitter to it's wings.  The metallic ribbon is from my stash.

I am so glad you stopped by, God bless you.

I will be playing along in the following Challenges:  Sister Act, Pile It On, Shopping Our Stash, Glitter N' Sparkle, Simply Create Too, and Papertake Weekly.

Christmas Deer Shadow Box

I hope your having a lovely day.
This evening I have a Christmas Deer Shadow Box to share with you.  Tombow is having a challenge this month for Shadow Boxes and I just love those and playing along in Tombow's Challenge.  Here is my shadow box.

I used some cotton balls and stretched it against the base of the shadow box for snow, I used my Tombow Permanent Adhesive to hold that down.  I then sprinkled some glitter on top of it, so fun.  I added some Distress White Paint to the Deer so it would look like he has snow on him.  The bottle brush tree also has some glitter sprinkled on it, and the background of the shadow box.  I added a cute  little present under the tree, a couple of twigs to look like bare trees, and the lovely poinsettias in red, gold, and white.

I will be playing along at the following challenges: Tombow, Creative Fingers, and Through The Craft Room Door.

I'm so glad you stopped by, have a great week.
