Sponged Tulip Tag Card

It is dinner time here, so a quick post for today.  Our Daily Bread is wanting to see stenciling or sponging for their current challenge.  So I came up with this.  Here is my pic.

I used a base of pink cardstock, for the background I sponged it in a fun bright pink called Melon Mambo by Stampin' Up.  The tag is Our Daily Bread's Tulip tag, I sponged it with a light pink from Stampin' Up.  I used some markers and colored in the tulips.  I added a double die cut butterfly and a button.  I mounted the tag onto the sponged cardstock background.  I used some lace from my stash for the tag.  The blue rhinestones are from Want 2 Scrap.

Thank you for stopping by, God bless you.

Sweet Honeycomb

I hope you have a lovely summer's day.  It was mild here today and partly overcast at times.  But I will take that instead of the horrible heat and humidity.

Tonight I have a card that uses a stamp from my Rosy Posy stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  Here is a pic.

Papertrey Ink wanted us to create a Wallpaper Background with some of the extra stamps that come in our sets.  I choose to work with the honeycomb stamp and starburst stamp in the Rosy Posy set.  Super cute.  I used a base of green paper.  I stamped the background at a diagonal then added the layered piece of corkboard with the Rosy Posy Die Cuts, leaves, and some pearls.  I added a shabby ribbon and pearl stick pin.

Thank you for stopping by and God bless you.

Steampunk Canvas

For anyone who follows my blog they know how much I love Steampunk.  I have been working on a project that is done in Steampunk and am so excited to share it on my blog.  I am going to take part in SanDee and Amelie's Steampunk Summer Bonus Challenge 2014.

Colors to use:

I used all these colors on my Steampunk Canvas and more.  Here are the pics.

I spent alot of time on this canvas.   Before I mounted the image I sprayed it with a beautiful dark brown Smooch Spritz , called Log Cabin by Clearsnap.  This image was hand colored by me with Distress Inks.  I absolutely love this image.  It is available through Dover Publications.  I love this Steampunk Girls hat and all the metal gear adorning it.  The time piece dangling down the top of the image is so lovely, and her high neck top with the boning/seams and the little hummingbird is beautiful.  I trimmed the image with Stickles once I colored it.  The time piece and hat gear has liquid glass and a brad added to it.  To finish it off, I added some die cut gears, metal accents, a wooden tag from Prima and a red rose.   I will be entering the Challenge at SanDee and Amelie's Steampunk Challenge and Through The Craft Room Door, and Creative Fingers.

I am so glad you stopped by and hope you have a lovely rest of the weekend.

You Rock My World

I hope your having a lovely summer evening.
I am entering the Challenge at Waffle Flower Stamps, they have 2 choices right now for their challenge and I chose the Technique Challenge in which they want us to stamp a background.  Here is the link and the graphic is below.

Here is my card,

I used the Rock My World stamp set by Waffle Flower.   The moment I saw this set I knew my son would love getting cards made with it.  For my card, I used the large plain rock and stamped it in black and grey ink to form the background, then I used some red ink to stamp the flower and sentiment.  I love the contrast I got with these colors on the white cardstock.  I added a red and white striped brad to the center of the flower and then mounted it onto the grey rock.   I will also be taking part in the Challenges at Sister Act and Through The Craft Room Door.

Thank you for stopping by, God bless you.

Rainbow Medallion

I hope your having a lovely summer evening.  It has been mild and cool here this week.  Thank the good Lord for a break in the heat and humidity.

I have a card using a technique that was really fun.  It is using a stamp to make a rainbow medallion.  Here is my card.

I used a doily stamp and stamped it into 8 different colors of ink.  3 of the colors were from Papertrey Ink.  I love the rainbow of colors.  Then I added a round piece of cardstock, layered a smaller die cut red and blue piece of cardstock and a daisy onto that.  It looks so happy.  A die cut leaf and some pearls.

I will be playing along at the following challenges, Papertrey Ink, Artistic Impressions, Curtain Call and Sister Act.  Links are below.

I am so glad you stopped by and hope you have a lovely evening, God bless you.

Birdsong Frame

I hope your having a lovely day.  It is a mild summer day here.  I will take it any day over the sweltering heat and humidity the midwest is known for.
I have a lovely creation to share with you today.  I decopaged a wooden frame with Graphic 45's Birdsong DP.  I used some chipboard pieces from the same collection and other embellishments from my stash.  The touch of moss adds some softness to the creation.  Here is a pic.

I just love this so much.  I am going to be adding it to my fall decorations in my home this year.  I love the Birdsong Collection from Graphic 45.  This was a way for me to use it and display it to enjoy.  I will be linking up at City Crafter Challenge Blog, Quirky Crafts Challenge, Anything But A Card, Through The Craft Room Door, and Artistic Inspirations.

I am so glad you stopped by, God bless you.
