Floral Birthday

Hello,
I hope your doing well.
Today I have a birthday card to share with you.  Here's the pic.

I used a base of white paper, the DP is from my stash and was given to me so I have no idea who it's from (sorry), I made the flower, used the layers of a daisy and a Prima Pearl Center, the sentiment is from Stampin' Up and I used a couple round punches to layer it.  I inked the edges of the sentiment.  The twine is from The Twinery.  And I used my Tombow Permanent Adhesive to mount all the papers.

I will be linking up at the following Challenges, Tombow, Sister Act, Through The Craft Room Door, Artistic Inspirations and Cute Card Thursday.  The links will be below.  Super fun challenges!

Hope you have a great day, God bless you!

God bless your birthday hours...

Hello,
I hope your having a lovely evening.  It is a nice mild day here in the midwest.
I have a card to share with you using the birthday stamp, "God bless your birthday hours", and it can be found on page 18 of the Blue Ridge Impressions Catalog, you can reach the catalog by clicking on their button in the sidebar of my blog.
They have the most beautiful stamps, lovely nature stamps, scenery, and of course my favorite, scripture stamps.  Along with plenty of other craft supplies to choose from.  I hope you will stop by and take a look.

I used a base of green cardstock, then embossed a brown piece of cardstock from my Core'dinations Tim Holtz Distress colored cardstock.  I used the Darice Birch Tree embossing folder which is on page 99.   I embossed it, and the used my distress tool to see the core color.  I always love the look you get with Core'dinations.  The stamp is the God bless your birthday stamp on page 18.  I finished it off with some twine.

Before I close I would like to share some things that have been on my heart.  It seems to me there has been so much sadness in the world over the last month.  Israel and Hamas being at war, seeing young children being killed from it.  Hearing that playgrounds are being bombed while children are in school.  So sad to me.  I am a strong supporter of Israel, but I fell so sorry for the children on both sides.  It must be so scary for them and hard to understand.  But this war has gone on for thousands of years, and if you know your Bible at all and of the history behind the wars between these two you know that it is far from over.  So I pray for Israel and the innocent children.
I have also been very saddened and moved by the actor Robin Williams death.  He was struggling with drug addiction (and had been his whole adult life) and depression.  He was once quoted as saying  " I use to think that the worst thing in life was to end up all alone.  It's not.  The worst thing in life is ending up with people who make you feel all alone." -Robin Williams  This of course made me feel so sad for him.  I wish he had known Jesus.  Jesus is the only one who can fill the hole in us that nothing and no one else can fill.  He felt alone because he was alone.

So I ask you this, do you feel alone, do you need that hole in you to be filled.  Maybe you have tried in your own way to fill that hole with drugs, alcohol, sex, gambling, food, and the list can go on and on.  But your still alone and unfulfilled.  Then I have good news for you, Jesus is ready to meet you right where you are and receive you to himself.  All you have to do is pray a simple prayer and receive Jesus into your heart.  At the top of my blog there is a button, it says "Find out how to spend eternity with God".  Just click on that and it will take you to a link you can read, and then a prayer to lead you to pray to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior.  Don't hesitate, respond today, you never know what tomorrow will bring.   If you do accept Christ, please leave me a comment and let me know, I would love to add you to my prayer list to pray for you and your new walk with the Lord.

God bless you.

Please Pray...

Hello,
I am asking all Christians who follow my blog to please pray for Pastor Silas Rabbini.  I have received word that he is not doing well in prison in Iran.  He was arrested in May and taken to an Iranian Prison.  He has been tortured since his arrest in prison.   My prayers are with him and his family, God bless and be with them all.

Thank you,

One Layer Christmas Cards

Hello,
I hope your having a lovely day.  It is a hot one here today.  But it is August, one of the hotest months of the year.

I have 5 cards to share with you today.  I am including them all in the same posts.  I used 2 different stamp sets from Hero Arts.  Christmas Reindeer and Love Jar.  I used an assortment of stamps from the Christmas Reindeer set and also the leaf stem from the Love Jar stamp set.  All super cute.   I used lots of different colors of sprays on my cards and kept them one layer without any embellishments because I want them to go into an envelope and take one stamp.  My post office hasn't been the friendliest with all my dimensional cards.  But you still can get lots of fun looks as I am going to show you.  I used some stain and sprays on my cards, then stamped the images.

Using Red Distress Stain:

Using Green spray:

Used brown and gold spray and a stamping off technique:

Used gold spray:

Used blue spray:

I hope you have enjoyed seeing the various ways you can use sprays.  I had so much fun using them and using Hero Arts stamps.

Have a great night.

Blessings

Hello,
Today I am sharing a card I made using the inspiration picture from Magazine Monday's at Papercrafter's Corner for their challenge #61.  Here is the pic.

I choose to play off of the wood cabin and nature all around with the flowers, and for the water I added some blue glitter (you know how a lake always looks like it is sparkling as the sun hits it), and some blue flowers they have the touches of green also.  The DP has lovely flowers on it too.    Here is my card:

I used a base of DP from Recollections, It is called "Today, Tomorrow, Forever.  I think I need about 10 of these pads to last me a lifetime.  So up my alley.  I then added some Gesso, the doily, some twine, and the sentiment, flowers and pearls, and some blue glitter to the Gesso.  I love how this turned out.

I am so glad you stopped by, God bless you.

I will be playing along at the following challenges, Papercrafter's Corner Magazine Mondays, Sister Act, Simply Create Too, Simon Says Wednesday Challenge, Divas By Design, Through The Craft Room Door, Artistic Inspirations.  The links are below.

Sponged Tulip Tag Card

Hello,
It is dinner time here, so a quick post for today.  Our Daily Bread is wanting to see stenciling or sponging for their current challenge.  So I came up with this.  Here is my pic.

I used a base of pink cardstock, for the background I sponged it in a fun bright pink called Melon Mambo by Stampin' Up.  The tag is Our Daily Bread's Tulip tag, I sponged it with a light pink from Stampin' Up.  I used some markers and colored in the tulips.  I added a double die cut butterfly and a button.  I mounted the tag onto the sponged cardstock background.  I used some lace from my stash for the tag.  The blue rhinestones are from Want 2 Scrap.

Thank you for stopping by, God bless you.

Sweet Honeycomb

Hello,
I hope you have a lovely summer's day.  It was mild here today and partly overcast at times.  But I will take that instead of the horrible heat and humidity.

Tonight I have a card that uses a stamp from my Rosy Posy stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  Here is a pic.

Papertrey Ink wanted us to create a Wallpaper Background with some of the extra stamps that come in our sets.  I choose to work with the honeycomb stamp and starburst stamp in the Rosy Posy set.  Super cute.  I used a base of green paper.  I stamped the background at a diagonal then added the layered piece of corkboard with the Rosy Posy Die Cuts, leaves, and some pearls.  I added a shabby ribbon and pearl stick pin.

Thank you for stopping by and God bless you.
