Spruce

Hello,
Happy Tuesday to you.  Are you anywhere on the east coast getting all that snow.  I am sooo glad we are not getting it.  Too much for me.  I don't enjoy it that much, ha!

I have a lovely frosty card to share with you today.  Here is a pic.

I started with a base of kraft cardstock.  I used the Spruce Stamp from Blue Ridge Impressions to create a lovely nature scene.  (The Spruce stamp is found on page 64 and is item#271) I created some snow with some softly torn white cardstock, then stamped the image into some silver ink. I then used my white Gelato to create some snowflakes.  I finished the card of with a little of my Vanilla Spritz for a little sparkle on the cardstock, and a icy blue ribbon.

I am so glad you stopped by, I will be participating in the following challenges: Sister Act, Creative Fingers, and Artistic Inspirations.  The links are below.

A snowflake...

Hello,
I hope your doing well.  We have been seeing some milder days here, but when the cold air comes back it will be hard to get use too again.  My card is inspired by more ice cold freezing days.  Ha!

I have a card to share today that is inspired by the movie "Frozen".  Full of the mix of blues and white with a lot of sparkle.  Here is a pic.

I used a base of navy blue cardstock, my DP is a winter wonderland collection, and I added some sparkly Stickles to it randomly, then added the sparkly silver fibers, and sentiment with some Stickles added to it also.

I am going to be playing along at the following challenges, and the links are below: Red Carpet Studio, Sister Act Card Challenge.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Special Friend Layout

Hello,
If your in the cold areas of the world I hope your hanging in there.  These winter days on the calendar are the ones that seem to drag on and make spring feel so far away.

Today I have a layout to share with you that is close to my heart.  Well, I guess all my pages are.  That is how it goes when you scrapbook!  And that is why we do it and love it.  Preserving those wonderful memories in life.  This page is of myself and a very dear friend, Gertie, taken around 1988-89.  She is with the Lord now, but still has a very strong presence in my heart.  She is one of the few people I have known in my life who could  make you feel the love she had for you and at the same time display God's unconditional love for me through that.  What a gift.

I have made a new friend recently, It has been a real blessing to get to know her.  Many people are choosing a word for their New Year's Resolution, and so if I choose a word it would have to be "friend", it is my goal to be the kind of friend she needs.  To show God's love to her in the very special way she needs it.  And the wonderful thing is she wants that, to see the Lord in every day things and people.  That is so beautiful to me.

Here is my layout.

I used Maja Design's Vintage Spring Basics Collection, and the 1st of March piece of DP for this layout.   A nice breath of spring with those daffodils.  I then used a wood laser embellishment to mount the picture onto the DP.  Added some lace, twill, shabby ribbon, flowers, butterflies punched from my Martha Stewart punch, flat back pearls, a doily, cheesecloth, 2 yellow roses, and a tag cut from my Magnolia tag die, and lots of pretty Stickles in random places for some pretty sparkle on the layout.

I am so glad you stopped by.  I will be joining into the following challenges and their links are below: Red Carpet Studio, Anything But A Card, and Through The Craft Room Door.

Thinking of You

Hello,
Today I have a sweet card to share with you.
I used a new stamp from Our Daily Bread called "Praying Girl" and the Blushing Rose Collection 6x6 paper pad.  Both are so adorable.  When I was a little girl I had a night light with this image on it.  I loved it and still adore this image today.  Here is my card.

I mounted the DT onto some white cardstock, added some pink shabby ribbon, the image which I colored with my skin tone Blendabilities and Distress Ink Markers, and I added some clear Wink of Stella too.  I love the little touch of sparkle it gives.  This is something the camera doesn't pick up, but you can see it close up.   I then added some flowers and the sentiment.

I am so glad you stopped by today, hope you have a lovely evening.

Challenges I am entering, links are below: Our Daily Bread, Simon Says Stamp, Through The Craft Room Door.

Wintery Thank You

Hello,
I hope your nice and warm where ever you are.  It is so freezing cold here.  The wind is blowing and we have a light dusting of snow on the ground.  The wind chill is reporting to be 21 below 0.  Yikes!!!  I told my husband there is a reason I don't live in Alaska.  I don't like it! Ha!

I have a wintery  card to share with you.  I used the Rubber Stamp Tapestry stamp set called "Winter Night Sky".  Here is my card.

I stamped the images of snowflakes and stars in various ink colors onto a piece of white cardstock and then mounted it onto a some navy cardstock.  I hand pinned the sentiment of Thank You, and added some blue and white sequins to the card for a little bit of sparkle.  Love the frosty feel.

I am so glad you stopped by and hope you have a great day.  God bless you.

Our Country Christmas, Christmas Tag

Hello,
Yes, I am double posting today.  I have a tag I wanted to share with you.  I used my beautiful Riddersholm papers for this tag.  Love the shabby rustic feel of it.

I used Riddersholm's "Our Country Christmas" Design Papers.  Which is so beautiful!  I used several sheets of this collection on my tag.   I fussy cut the bird out from the DP.  The sentiment came from the DP also.  I used some gesso and a Prima stencil on the bottom layer of paper to add some interest, added some ivory flowers with some brown stickles for sparkle and some gold festive berries, cheese cloth and a mini doily.  I trimmed the edges of the tag in the brown Stickles also.

I hope you have a lovely day.  I am feeling so blessed today and thankful for this Christmas Eve.  As a Christian this is one of the days that is sooo  special to me.

I will be entering the following challenges and links are below: Riddersholm Designs, Crafting For All Seasons, and Simon Says Stamp.

God Bless Your Christmas

Hello,
Today is Christmas Eve, and it seems as this month has gone by so fast.  Today I have a Christmas card to share with you.  Here is a pic.

I used a base of red cardstock, and stamped the image on watercolor paper.  I then used my Distress Inks and Clear Wink of Stella pen to color in the image.  You can't see it in the picture, but is is just shimmery goodness.  Love that!
The image and sentiment are both from Blue Ridge Impressions.  The image is called Christmas Church and Window #617 on page 40 in their catalog, the sentiment is God Bless Your Christmas #647 on page 43.  Blue Ridge Impressions also sells many lovely craft supplies, they have the Wink of Stella pens in a wide variety, you can find those on page 82.
I then added the tree I die cut, the twine and bells around it, and some fun and festive sequins.  I really love those larger sequins.  Big and bold, get your attention.
