Happiness in a coffee pot

Today I am entering the November Challenge over at Stamplorations.  They had a lovely case sketch and I thought it would be fun to join in.  Here is the sketch,

Here is my card:

I used a base of Navy cardstock, I embossed a red cardstock panel and then die cut it with my bookmark die.  It made the perfect rectangular shape.  I used the Stamplorations stamp set called, "Coffee Happy".  I used the retro coffee pot, and the Hero Arts Pink to Red ink pad.  (Love it!)  I used the same ink pad for the sentiment.  Then I added some red flower sequins for my 3 of anything.   Sweet and simple card.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving.

Pink Christmas

Yes, I know a while since a post, like most of you life seems to dictate alot of my blogging anymore.  But for those of you who stop by,  I hope your doing well.

I am a big fan of Power Poppy stamps (I think I have said that before, ha, ha!)  When I saw the Power and Spark inspiration picture for the month of November, I LOVED it.   Pink is my favorite color and I believe in the world of pink anything goes, as you will see below.   And for a vintage, shabby loving gal like me, it is right up my alley and makes you squeak some time out of your day to create a lovely card.  Although I have shared before, I am always creating and working on something crafty.  Anyhoo, here is the inspiration picture.

My card:

A close up:

I started out with some watercolor paper, and white heat embossed one of the spiced orange images from the Spice It Up stamp set.   Then I watercolored the image and surrounding area with a light pink wash, then added a little bit of a darker pink watercolor over just the embossed image.   I stamped the sentiment which is from the same stamp set in a pink ink.  My DP is from Magda Tomaszewska and is called "Rosalie in the garden"  it is so pretty, (I have been hoarding it.).   This paper is double sided and the music note strip at the top is the pack side of the DP.  I then added a strip of ivory lace to the top.  Some silver lace, and a strip of ivory organza, and a pink bow was added to the bottom.  A few silver sequins were added for a finishing touch.

I will be linking up below and thank you so much for stopping by.

A Pumpkin and 3 Lattes

Today I am excited to be entering the Stamplorations Anything Goes Challenge the link is HERE .

I used the digi image that Shery was so kind to share with us for the coffee hop.  I loved it when I saw it and just knew I wanted to use it to make a card for a friend.  Here is a pic.

I printed the image twice.  I wanted a little dimension and to give those cute cups a coffee sleeve.  I used my Distress Ink marker tool to sprintz some Aged Mahogony onto the background, and used my Spectrum Noir markers to color in the leaves, pumpkin stem and add some shading to the cups.  I used Brusho on the pumpkin and cups on one digi, then cut them out and layered them onto the image.  Then I layered the image onto some orange card stock and then kraft.  I added the Little B Gold Foil Moroccan Window Tape to the right side, love the touch of gold on this, and to finish it off some orange and white twine.

Thanks for stopping by.

Falling Leaves and Coffee

This will be my last card for the hop.  It has been a great hop and full of so much inspiration.  I will be stopping by blogs tonight and tomorrow.   Here is a pic of my card.

My cup image is from Stamplorations.  It's lots of sketchy goodness, and I added a die cut leaf to the sleeve.  The gal image is from Unity and I used Distress Inks to color her.  For the base I used some orange cardstock, and the brown cardstock is called leather paper.  Now, it's not real leather.  It is paper, but has the texture and look of tanned leather.  I love it.   The dots and "falling leaves" embellishments came from Echo Park.

I'm so glad you stopped by and hope you have a lovely night.

Fall Coffee Lovers Hop

One sip at a time.

WOW!!  Today is the last day of the hop.  Time goes by so fast.  I have had do much fun seeing all the creative cards and projects made using a coffee, tea and hot cocoa theme.
Here is a pic of my card.

When I saw this die of this little guy, I just loved him.  He is from Echo Park.  He is a little work putting together, but worth it.  I used a base of chocolate brown cardstock, then added the kraft cardstock.  I used the cold cup die and Stay Cool stamp set that I won through the coffee hop.  Love those.  Thanks again My Favorite Things.  They are just awesome.  The cold cup can actually double as a hot cup with a lid.  And the same with the stamps, many can double for a hot drink so it's a great set.  I added my sentiments stamped in kraft above and below my cup.  The cup was die cut from some woodgrain DP.  On a different note, I am a big fan of white pumpkins and this is one I picked up over the weekend.  So pretty.  I thought my fall display on my table outside was the perfect little place to take the pic.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Coloring and Coffee Planner Fun

It's National Coffee Day!!!  Yea!

I know I will be celebrating with a large cup of my favorite java.
And it's day 7 of the Fall Coffee Hop,  I can't believe how fast time is flying by.
I have a few photos for this post so please bear with me.  Ha!

First up I wanted to share how I like to cut out the cups from the cardboard Starbucks instant packages.  Here is a pic.

Then by adding a fun green clip to it I can make it a bookmark, or fun clip to use.  See next pic.

I wanted to use it in my planner and here is a pic of mine.  I am using Johanna Basford's Coloring Book planner this year.  I love her coloring books and thought this planner would be so fun.  I get a little coloring in with my planner arranging.  And you can see how I used my clip to mark my planner.

Here is a finished page for the week the hop started.   My clip and some fun fall pumpkin spice  planner cut outs from Planner Pickett.  I used a combination of colored pencils to get these pretty fall colors.  It is a lovely array of mum looking flowers.

That's all for me today, I am so glad you stopped by and hope you have a lovely day.
