Brew-tangle and a Giveaway

I am so excited!  Today is the start of the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  You can find the link HERE.

I have a super fun card to share with you.  I love coffee (tea and coco) and will admit that I am one of those loving all the fun trending coffee, tea, and hot coco stamps sets we are seeing right now.

I have a picture of myself to share with you, this is me enjoying a cup of coffee and a chocolate brownie.  Yes, indulging a little, ha!

For my card I wanted to do something so fun and a little out of the norm for me.  I love to do Zentangle.  And my son and I use to do it together when he was younger.  It was super fun Mommy and Son time.  So I printed out a cup and then went to town with some fun Zentangle designs.  I call this "Brew-tangle", ha!  Since this whole design on the cup is so busy, I wanted to keep the background simple so I added some coffee stains, and a splash of yellow with Heidi Swapp's Color Shine  in "Mustard".  Here is my card.

And last but not least I have a lovely Giveaway.

I am giving away 4 packages of Starbucks Coffee, these all make one single serving.  They are some of the coffee's I love.  One Starbucks Iced Coffee, One Starbucks Christmas Blend, One Starbucks Italian Roast, and One Starbucks Pikes Place coffee.  A perfect pick me up for when your are crafting.
Just leave a comment, and I would love it if you followed my blog, I always love making new craft friends.  You can follow me through Bloglovin or Google, the links are in my side bar.  The coffee hop will be from February 27, 2015 through March 6th, 2015.  I will announce the winner of my giveaway on March 7th.   I will give the winner one week to contact me, other wise I will make other arrangements for the prize.

Thank you for stopping by and have a super fun week with the hop!

Sweetheart Rose

It is soooo cold here.  I keep telling myself that we are in the home stretch here with winter.  I will be so glad when it is over.

I have a lovely card to share with you that uses the beautiful large "Sweetheart Rose" from Blue Ridge Impressions.  You can find it in their catalog on page 37.  Here is my card.

I just knew I wanted to do a red, black and white card with this stamp.  It is so lovely.  I used a base of black card stock and mounted the image onto some black embossed and red cardstock.  I stamped the image and then colored it in.  I then added some pointillism around the image, love that!  I then added some white and red Gelatos around the edges of the black and red cardstock.  Then finished it off with a white heart that I casted myself, and colored with my red Gelato and a cute ribbon (from my stash) with hearts and says "Love".

If your looking for this awesome stamp, don't forget to stop by Blue Ridge Impressions and view their catalog, and while there you can see all the other lovely stamps and products they have, here is the link, Blue Ridge Impressions.  Once there, the catalog is on the right side of the page.

I am so glad you stopped by and hope you have a lovely evening.

Happy Tuesday to you.  Are you anywhere on the east coast getting all that snow.  I am sooo glad we are not getting it.  Too much for me.  I don't enjoy it that much, ha!

I have a lovely frosty card to share with you today.  Here is a pic.

I started with a base of kraft cardstock.  I used the Spruce Stamp from Blue Ridge Impressions to create a lovely nature scene.  (The Spruce stamp is found on page 64 and is item#271) I created some snow with some softly torn white cardstock, then stamped the image into some silver ink. I then used my white Gelato to create some snowflakes.  I finished the card of with a little of my Vanilla Spritz for a little sparkle on the cardstock, and a icy blue ribbon.

I am so glad you stopped by, I will be participating in the following challenges: Sister Act, Creative Fingers, and Artistic Inspirations.  The links are below.

A snowflake...

I hope your doing well.  We have been seeing some milder days here, but when the cold air comes back it will be hard to get use too again.  My card is inspired by more ice cold freezing days.  Ha!

I have a card to share today that is inspired by the movie "Frozen".  Full of the mix of blues and white with a lot of sparkle.  Here is a pic.

I used a base of navy blue cardstock, my DP is a winter wonderland collection, and I added some sparkly Stickles to it randomly, then added the sparkly silver fibers, and sentiment with some Stickles added to it also.

I am going to be playing along at the following challenges, and the links are below: Red Carpet Studio, Sister Act Card Challenge.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Special Friend Layout

If your in the cold areas of the world I hope your hanging in there.  These winter days on the calendar are the ones that seem to drag on and make spring feel so far away.

Today I have a layout to share with you that is close to my heart.  Well, I guess all my pages are.  That is how it goes when you scrapbook!  And that is why we do it and love it.  Preserving those wonderful memories in life.  This page is of myself and a very dear friend, Gertie, taken around 1988-89.  She is with the Lord now, but still has a very strong presence in my heart.  She is one of the few people I have known in my life who could  make you feel the love she had for you and at the same time display God's unconditional love for me through that.  What a gift.

I have made a new friend recently, It has been a real blessing to get to know her.  Many people are choosing a word for their New Year's Resolution, and so if I choose a word it would have to be "friend", it is my goal to be the kind of friend she needs.  To show God's love to her in the very special way she needs it.  And the wonderful thing is she wants that, to see the Lord in every day things and people.  That is so beautiful to me.

Here is my layout.

I used Maja Design's Vintage Spring Basics Collection, and the 1st of March piece of DP for this layout.   A nice breath of spring with those daffodils.  I then used a wood laser embellishment to mount the picture onto the DP.  Added some lace, twill, shabby ribbon, flowers, butterflies punched from my Martha Stewart punch, flat back pearls, a doily, cheesecloth, 2 yellow roses, and a tag cut from my Magnolia tag die, and lots of pretty Stickles in random places for some pretty sparkle on the layout.

I am so glad you stopped by.  I will be joining into the following challenges and their links are below: Red Carpet Studio, Anything But A Card, and Through The Craft Room Door.

Red Carpet Studio - The Two Faces of January - Use 2 of something. ( I used 2 Yellow Roses)
