August 18, 2023

Hello,
If you have been by my blog in the last couple years you can see I haven't posted in quite a while. Like most people I have had a lot of things going on in my life.  So I took a hiatus from my blog.  I have still been crafting and enjoying creating the things I love, but not taking the time to blog.

I don't know if blogging is in my future again or not, but as always feel free to peruse my blog and gain any kind of inspiration you are looking for.

God bless you,

Mini and Mighty

Hello,
Today I am sharing a card I made for Power Poppy's Mini and Mighty October Challenge.

Here's my card:

For my mini card I used the Power Poppy Poinsettia Digi Stamp.  Some alcohol markers and Distress Inks.  Some pink and white twine, and pink card stock with a lovely pink shimmer to it.  The image and card was cut with a layering Spellbinders Die.

Your a special blend...

Hello,
Today I am linking up a card for Helen's challenge for the World Cardmaking Day Celebration 2017.  She is wanting to see red, orange and brown used.  Here is my card.

I used Joy Clair's stamp set called Coffee Lovers.  I stamped the cup and sentiment with Stazon Timber Brown.  Then I used my watercolors to color in the cup sleeve (red), I added a wash of orange color under the cup and over the sentiment.

One Cool Chick

Hello,
It's National World Cardmaking Day 2017, Yay!  As a card maker I wanted to post a quick post of my card for today.  I used Power Poppy's Succulent Singles.

I stamped the succulents onto some watercolor paper.  Then used my Zig Clean Color Markers to color those beauties in.  They give such wonderful pops of color.  I then layered the image onto some kraft card stock and added some subtle colored dots to my sentiment and then stapled that to my image.

Your so sweet

Hello,
I was needing a card for a friend to thank her for some wonderful craft supplies and goodies she recently sent me.  So I decided to create a card and use a beautiful digi from Power Poppy.  For their monthly challenge of September they are wanting to see creations made using Kraft Paper.  Here is their graphic and my card.

I printed the lovely "Sunflower Power" and the sentiment is from the digi "Sweet Simple Things".
I colored in the image with colored pencils and layered it onto some yellow, kraft and orange cardstock.   Then I fussy cut out the sunflower bud and layered it with pop dots more on on top and off set from that gorgeous big bloom.  I added the sentiment and trimmed it with  some rose gold Stickles.  It's the perfect fall sparkle.  And then tied some twine with a little metallic copper sparkle in it.
